Hello this is Jaystepher here. I’m going to be bring to you another Lego
tutorial, and today we’re going to be building this basic blue little truck. So let’s get started. The first thing we’re going to do to make a Lego, or chassis out of Lego for our truck. So we are gonna take on of these 2 by 16 black pieces or plates. I am going to stick two wheels that look like this here at the front And then I’m going to take two of these other wheels and put them right here. Kinda off-set things here a little bit. This is where the engine is going to go and this is the bed of the truck. Now, take one of these uh… 2 by 10 dark grey plates, place it here in the middle. And we are just doing that for strength because I want to start leveling things off. Next we’re going to take a 2 by 4
white plate and stick it here at the end. So it looks something like this. And the next thing we are going to
do is we are going to make the steps to the truck that wait not the steps … never mind. You are going to take one of these 4 by 12 plates stick it on here like so. Leave it offset by one stud. We need to have something to attach our bumper to. And one of these 4 by 6 plates and stick it on here like that. So now we got our chassis to our truck. Now we’re going to come in and … put the step sides on it. So we are going to take one of these 2 by 8 plates and one of these 1 by 8 tracks stick it on here Something like that …. You are going to make two of these. So we are going to stick them under here. Set them under here. Something like that. This gives you that nice step side pickup look. And we’re gonna make one more of those. Now we are gonna come in and put some steps here. We are going to take a 2 by 3 plate and a 1 by 2 track. We are going to take a 2 by 3 plate and a 1 by 2 track. Set it on there like that. Stick it on here at the edge. Same thing goes for the other side but just in reverse. So I’m going to take this and a track piece. Okay, something like that. Now we need to put the bumper on the back. So we’re going to put our rear bumper. So one thing we’re gonna do when we make our rear bumper, were gonna need a … So one thing we’re gonna do when we make our rear bumper, we’re gonna need a … Take one of these weird brackets … looks something like this. Take one of these weird brackets … looks something like this. Take one of these weird brackets … looks something like this. Stick it like that. Then we’re gonna take some 1 by 2 plates and stick them on the corners. What we’re doing is trying to level everything off. I’m trying to find the other one here that just rolled away. There it is. Kind of like that. Let’s go and build our bumper real quick for the back. Take a 1 by 6 grey plate. Then I’m gonna take a 1 by 4 smooth tile, and stick it on here like so. It looks like that. Then I’m gonna take two 1 by 1 transparent plates — red ones. Then I’m gonna take two 1 by 1 transparent plates — red ones. Then I’m gonna take two 1 by 1 transparent plates — red ones. Stick them on here for brake lights. Stick them on here for brake lights. Then we’re simply gonna stick this on the back. Then we have a nice bumper for our truck. There you have it. There’s our chassis for our truck. There you have it. There’s our chassis for our truck. Now we are going to start building the sides of the pickup. Now we are going to start building the sides of the pickup. So, let’s get started. We’re gonna take some of these corner pieces here. It looks like a 2 by 2 brick two brick but it’s an inside corner. I’m gonna stick it here where the bed is gonna be. I’m gonna stick it here where the bed is gonna be. And then, we are going to simply take a 1 by 2 block and set it in here like so. And then, we are going to simply take a 1 by 2 block and set it in here like so. And then, we are going to simply take a 1 by 2 block and set it in here like so. And then, we are going to simply take a 1 by 2 block and set it in here like so. Now, notice the spot right here? We’re going to put wheel wells here that kind of look like this. Now, notice the spot right here? We’re going to put wheel wells here that kind of look like this. Now, notice the spot right here? We’re going to put wheel wells here that kind of look like this. Now, notice the spot right here? We’re going to put wheel wells here that kind of look like this. Now that looks really nice. We’re
going to do that. Now, there’s some questions about if I stick a block on here like this. Now, there’s some questions about if I stick a block on here like this. That looks fine, but notice my wheel does not
move. You can see inside there that this block is actually hitting the wheel. I don’t want that. I want this to be a
working car. So, I’m gonna take one of these 1 by 2 inverted slope pieces and stick it inside like that. So, I’m gonna take one of these 1 by 2 inverted slope pieces and stick it inside like that. So, I’m gonna take one of these 1 by 2 inverted slope pieces and stick it inside like that. Notice there’s no hole and the wheel still moves. It’s got a nice finished look even on the inside. Notice there’s no hole and the wheel still moves. It’s got a nice finished look even on the inside. Notice there’s no hole and the wheel still moves. It’s got a nice finished look even on the inside. So basically we’re going to come around. We’re gonna start putting all of our pieces here. So basically we’re going to come around. We’re gonna start putting all of our pieces here. Take another one of these 1 by 2 or I mean these 2 by 2 inside corners place it inside like that. Take another one of these 1 by 2 or I mean these 2 by 2 inside corners place it inside like that. So we got this recess … it looks good like this. So we got this recess … it looks good like this. This is going to be our bed for our truck. And another wheel well here. whoops, sorry about that. And another wheel well here. whoops, sorry about that. And I’m going to stick some more of these inverted tiles. Something like that. It’s going to look better as it goes. Take one of these 1 by 2 blocks and kind of place it in here like that. A 1 by 4 block,. Stick it on here. This is going to be our doors. I do not have car doors so I have to use these unfortunately. A 1 by 4 block,. Stick it on here. This is going to be our doors. I do not have car doors so I have to use these unfortunately. More inverted slope pieces. The 1 by 2s go there. And I know I have one around here somewhere … oh I found it. Stick that wheel well there. Stick that wheel well there. Put one of these here. Wheel well here. There we go. Now we’re gonna take one of these big 2 by 4 blocks and stick it inside. Now we’re gonna take one of these big 2 by 4 blocks and stick it inside. And a 2 by 2 block. And a 2 by 2 block. We got our cab of the truck, the bed of the truck, and now we’re getting ready to put our engine in. We got our cab of the truck, the bed of the truck, and now we’re getting ready to put our engine in. We got our cab of the truck, the bed of the truck, and now we’re getting ready to put our engine in. So are going to take a 1 by 4 plate and a 1 by 2 small plate.. These are dark grey. So piece them together like that. Let’s put it on the edge here. There you go. There the lower half of our body of our truck. There you go. There the lower half of our body of our truck. There you go. There the lower half of our body of our truck. So we’re getting ready to start on the hood and the trim on this. So we’re getting ready to start on the hood and the trim on this. Okay now we’re ready for the front part of our truck. Okay now we’re ready for the front part of our truck. First thing we’re going to need to do is take a 2 by 6 plate … white plate. We’re going to make a bumper. First thing we’re going to need to do is take a 2 by 6 plate … white plate. We’re going to make a bumper. First thing we’re going to need to do is take a 2 by 6 plate … white plate. We’re going to make a bumper. And two of these special brackets And two of these special brackets That kind of look like this. Place them on here … one on each end. Place them on here … one on each end. Where it kind of looks like that. And what we’re going to do now is take a 1 by 6 regular grey plate and stick it on the front. So now we have a nice bumper but I like to
have my stuff finished off. I’m gonna take a 1 by 6 smooth plate and put it on the front. I’m gonna take a 1 by 6 smooth plate and put it on the front. I’m gonna take a 1 by 6 smooth plate and put it on the front. I’m gonna take a 1 by 6 smooth plate and put it on the front. Now I got this nice smooth bumper. Now I’m gonna take some of these metallic grille pieces and I’m gonna piece them here. Now I’m gonna take some of these metallic grille pieces and I’m gonna piece them here. This will give my grille a nice finished look. And then we’re gonna take some 1 by 1 clear class plates and snap them on the front. And then we’re gonna take some 1 by 1 clear class plates and snap them on the front. And then we’re gonna take some 1 by 1 clear class plates and snap them on the front. Now we’re ready to attach the bumper to the front of the car. That’s easy. That’s why have this plate here as a guide. Snap this on like so…. That’s why have this plate here as a guide. Snap this on like so…. Nice finished bumper. Now you’re gonna need to take a 2 by 6 blue piece and stick it right about here. Now you’re gonna need to take a 2 by 6 blue piece and stick it right about here. So let’s kind of lay that down. Now we’re getting ready to put the actual hood on our car. We’re gonna need six 1 by 4 slope pieces that kind of look like this. We’re gonna need six 1 by 4 slope pieces that kind of look like this. And we’re gonna start piecing them on the front. Just grab a whole bunch. I just need six for mine. Kind of like that. It’s really good. Smooth. I like that. It turned out real good. Kind of like that. It’s really good. Smooth. I like that. It turned out real good. Kind of like that. It’s really good. Smooth. I like that. It turned out real good. We’re gonna come in here. We’re gonna level the top of this truck out with some blue pieces. We’re gonna come in here. We’re gonna level the top of this truck out with some blue pieces. We’re gonna come in here. We’re gonna level the top of this truck out with some blue pieces. So where do I start? I start piecing things together that work. If you have longer pieces, the better. So where do I start? I start piecing things together that work. If you have longer pieces, the better. I don’t have a lot so I just grab whatever I can to put this thing together. So I’m just gonna come in here and level this whole thing off with blue. You can use any color you want. So I just decided to just have a two-toned pickup. You can use any color you want. So I just decided to just have a two-toned pickup. So we’re just piecing it all together. Cover everything up. Now, what are we doing about this? We’re need to put some grilles here because I like to have a more realistic truck. Now, what are we doing about this? We’re need to put some grilles here because I like to have a more realistic truck. S I’m gonna take some f these blue 1 by 2 grilles. Take three of those in total. We’re gonna put those right here. Right by the windshield. Take three of those in total. We’re gonna put those right here. Right by the windshield. I’ve seen most trucks have this so why not. So it kind of looks like that. And we need to level it off with a windshield. So I’m just simply going to come in here. Like that. Take a 1 by 6 plate, set it in here like so. And I’m gonna take some 1 by 2 smooth tiles.
Stick them in here for little armrests. And I’m gonna take some 1 by 2 smooth tiles.
Stick them in here for little armrests. So it kinda looks like that. And I’m gonna take some 1 by 2 plates here abd a 1 by 4. And I’m gonna take some 1 by 2 plates here abd a 1 by 4. Place it in here. This is going to be for the back part of the cab. And then simply, I’m just going to come in here And then simply, I’m just going to come in here tile around the bed with some tiles. tile around the bed with some tiles. I left these open on purpose because we’re going to take some of these 1 by 1 slope pieces that look like this. I left these open on purpose because we’re going to take some of these 1 by 1 slope pieces that look like this. Stick them in here. And there you have it. Now let’s start finishing up on the inside of the bed and on the cab. Now let’s start finishing up on the inside of the bed and on the cab. Now let’s start finishing up on the inside of the bed and on the cab. So one thing that I like to do is I like to finish
the inside of my bed. This does not look good with these holes. So one thing that I’m going to do is we’re gonna make four things to cover these holes up. So one thing that I’m going to do is we’re gonna make four things to cover these holes up. Take two 1 by 1s….. We’re gonna take several of these 1 by 1 plates.
You’re gonna stack them together. Just take two 1 by 1s White plates And I’m simply going to take a
1 by 1 slope peace and set it on the top. And I’m simply going to take a
1 by 1 slope peace and set it on the top. Kind of looks like that. Cover that hole nicely. You don’t see that anymore. We’re gonna stick a smooth tile on the top. And we’re basically going to come in and four more of these. And we’re basically going to come in and four more of these. Start covering it in. Just fill it all in. Now I know I’m getting close to the end, I’m
running of the pieces (Chuckles). So we’re just gonna come in and do the same thing on this side. I do not like to working with little pieces but it gives you more detail. I do not like to working with little pieces but it gives you more detail. Okay. Now were gonna come in and we’re gonna tile the inside of this. This does not look pretty nice. Okay. Now were gonna come in and we’re gonna tile the inside of this. This does not look pretty nice. So I’m gonna take some smooth tiles. Use a 1 by 2 smooth. Just going to piece those in on the corners there. Kind of like that. Then we’re going to take some 1 by 8 smooths and stick them inside. Then we’re going to take some 1 by 8 smooths and stick them inside. There you go, it’s all finished up inside. The cab. Now we need to put some stuff in there.
We need to put some seats a dashboard, and we need to put a steering wheel in there. First thing we’re going to do is make the
steering wheel. So what I’m gonna take one of these pieces. First thing we’re going to do is make the
steering wheel. So what I’m gonna take one of these pieces. A steering wheel, just a simple steering wheel. Take a plate and put it underneath. Take a plate and put it underneath. You can just simply set this inside. It kind of looks like that. The dashboard I’m gonna take one of
these ridged pieces. The dashboard I’m gonna take one of
these ridged pieces. One 1 by 2 ridged blocks, and I’m gonna take a 1 by 2 sloped tile. One 1 by 2 ridged blocks, and I’m gonna take a 1 by 2 sloped tile. Place it on top like so. Put it inside. We got ourselves a nice little dashboard. So it kind of looks like that, looks pretty cool. So now we can put the seats in. The seats I’m going to set in like so. And there you have it. There’s our interior for our truck and our hood and our bed. There’s our interior for our truck and our hood and our bed. Okay let’s finish up this truck. We’re gonna actually going to finish the cab. So one of things we are going to do, we’re
going to come in…. We’re going to take some simple glass block These flat glass blocks. You can use anything you want. I’m just going to use these. They kind of look like that. I’m just going to use these for the back window of the cab. And I’m gonna take some of these 1 by 2 blocks. Stick them together. And I’m gonna put them on the sides. Let’s put them together like that. Let’s put them together like that. Now we’re ready to put the windshield in. I’m just gonna use a 2 by 6 windshield. Now we’re ready to put the windshield in. I’m just gonna use a 2 by 6 windshield. This is a tinted one. Stick it on top of the truck like this. Then we’re almost done. Now we got to build the top of the truck. So we’re gonna basically take the … looks like a hood or a cab So we’re gonna basically take the … looks like a hood or a cab. And one of things that I’m going to do is we’re gonna take a 1 by 6 plate and we’re gonna stick it on the back here. is we’re gonna take a 1 by 6 plate and we’re gonna stick it on the back here. So it kind of looks like that. Now we’re going to take the top of the cab. Now we’re going to take the top of the cab. We’re going to put four little round clear yellow plates on here. Kind of look like this. It makes it look like they have lights on
the top. I just thought this be kind of cool to finish it off. I just thought this be kind of cool to finish it off. Stick it on the top like so. And I have a 1 by 6 smooth tile. And I’m gonna stick on here. There you have it. A nice small pickup truck. It does fit one figurine. I tried to fit two but I have to redesign it.
