Jim, at Agent Entrepreneur, we have had a
lot of agents ask the question, “How would I benefit from this program?”.
Well, I’ve got an immediate answer, and a little less immediate answer. Number one:
most dealers are presented with reinsurance out there. And if an agent doesn’t have a
reinsurance company in his portfolio, then he’s not competitive with other agents out
there in the marketplace. So number one, it just helps an agent gets business from a dealer.
If he doesn’t have a reinsurance program, it’s going to be very difficult for him to
compete out there in the marketplace. So that’s the most immediate answer I can give you.
But the long-range answer I would give you is, an agent, if he produces enough business,
he has the ability to participate in the profits of the program. And we’ve developed programs
that are specifically tailored for agents. Where they can benefit the dealer in one aspect
of it, but ancillary products that the dealer might not want to participate in or might
not be participating in, the agent is able to participate in. So we’ve developed programs
that are really focused on the agent in trying to help them make more money out there in
the marketplace. Because they’ve got pressure just like everybody else does, on their commissions,
the revenues they get, everything. And our programs allow them to be more competitive,
just having a reinsurance program to go, or the ability to participate in the profits,
if they so choose.
